We post repeated questions here.  If there's something else that you'd like to know, let us know. How often should I have a reading? First of all, if you need to ask this question then you don't need one.  When you need a reading, you'll know it!  In general I believe that once a year is good.  Maybe twice a year.  To have a reading more often than that there should be a -specific- reason for it.  Readings should have -at least- three months in between. If a client wants a reading in less than three months there may be a chance that the person is becoming dependent on readings.  This is a red flag for any decent reader and it will drive any decent-honest reader away very fast!  (I have had situations when I have -not- given a reading and I have returned the payment) Readings are a tool for guidance but we are the only ones capable of actually doing the walk...   Do we all have Spirit Guides with us?   Yes! Yes! Yes!  We all have them, and the more we tune into our intuition through meditation, prayer or in other ways, the more we're going to be able to sense them.  They speak to us with a very soft voice, it's very easy to miss it!  Meditation is a wonderful tool to learn how to be "still".  It is much easier to listen when we're not in movement or "thinking" about the so many things that run though our minds constantly!  There are many simple books and CDs available at many book stores to help you in your journey.         Do our family members who have passed become our Spirit Guides?   No.  Our Spirit Guides are energies that are very much developed and have evolved to a very high level of being and wisdom.  They're assigned to us even before birth and they're always present and helping us even when we don't know it at all.  Our family members (or friends)who have crossed over are just that, wonderful, friendly, helpful spirits that will continue to be around us every time we think of them or talk about them.  They're actually not "gone", they're living in a way different from what we know here on this planet.  Energy doesn't die, it transforms itself.          Do you do energy cleansing?   Yes.  All the readings and work that I do is at a distance.  Many times when some readings are difficult due to the situation that the person is going through, I add an energy cleansing as a bonus, at no cost.  My intention is to help the person open up and be able to see his or her way with more clarity and serenity.  I don't change futures, I don't solve problems.  People themselves change or prepare for their futures and solve their problems.  I am only a humble facilitator passing on messages that I receive from Spirit Guides.  (I only work with the Light)         Do you do jobs to bring people together or to separate them?   No! No I don't!  All the energy work I do is with "positive energy" (to build, nurture, protect, empower) and I don't work with anything that falls on the side of "negative energy" (to separate, distroy, manipulate, etc) I believe in spiritual progress and this is too important to slow it down or even reverse it by the use of certain practices that I don't feel are ethical.         What about readings in person and readings over the phone?   I've done both kinds and every reader has a different method.  I've learned that for me it's easier to concentrate when the reading is over the phone.  When the person is sitting in front of me it's almost a distraction.  I can almost sense their thoughts, concerns or what they are hoping for me to say.  I need to make the "effort" to get out of that field to go into a neutral space to receive the messages that I hear for them.  Being over the phone, I can just "go away" without distractions and simply follow the energy of the person.  I see it as a line at first and I follow that string that later opens up.  I also meditate before each phone reading.  This allows me to go "in" directly into whatever situations need to be discussed.  I don't have this advantage when doing a reading in person, it's like the air moves a little slower.   I keep hearing this question and most people want a reading -in person- not realizing how the process works, at least in my personal case.  Let me know if any questions about this point-thanks.         Why do you charge for your services?  Shouldn't they be free?     I started working by offering readings for free, later on by donation.  Unfortunately this invited many unwelcome people into my circle of work.  There is also a sad reality, that people tend to abuse what's given for free and not appreciate it.   (When a service is provided and there's no "exchange" we're creating imbalance.  The exchange is usually made with money because it's the easiest way but many times it's done by a trade of services of equal value to both recipients).  I realized that I was setting myself up for this situations so I had to take responsibility.   I have also passed on projects that I felt were not in line with my spiritual principles without considering the income that I could be missing by doing so.    My practice has changed over the years.  The people who come to me now are individuals who take this work seriously and with respect and that honestly appreciate the process of a psychic reading or energy work.  Connecting and working with such individuals is a joy that feeds my heart and my soul.  They honor me with their trust. (~Thank you!)         Are the Trot cards evil?   This is a common misconception, no, they are not.  They're tools to help you connect with your subconscious where many believe (such as Edgar Cayce ) is where all the answers are.  Those who misuse their knowledge and mislead people are the ones who give the Tarot cards a negative reputation.         How do I work with reverse cards using the Tarot? Yes, the cards do have different meanings when they are reversed.  There are many books that can help you with what each card means and they also provide the meaning for each card for when they're reversed.  The general idea is that the card brings the opposite message when this position is inversed. What many books don't tell you and I came across this one day and it is what I use now, is the fact that you do not need to work with "reverse" cards.  I don't.  Even then, the cards will give you the message that it's meant to come to you one way or another. You are in charge of your cards, not the other way around.  Whatever -deal- you make with them, whatever understanding you have with them, your cards will follow your "intention" and will work based on your expectations.  I expect my cards to tell me the truth of whatever questions even when I don't work with reversed cards, and they do.  Your intuition also plays an important part in the reading, so follow that as well and the idea of working with reverse cards may become of small importance. About mixing the cards, the same thing.  Many books like to give you rules as if they can determine the connection between you and your Higher Inspirational Self, connecting to God or that force that's all knowing. This is all up to you.  They are ONLY guidelines so don't get overly concerned about details. Pray with your hands over your deck, ask for them to be CLEAR to YOUR understanding, -believe- that this energy is going through them, staying in them...  Bless them and "know it", that this is.       How can I develop my intuition?   There are many very good books out there that will help you take the first steps.  Try any New Age Book store or the New Age section from any regular book store.  Your own intuition will guide you to what books are the best for you at that particular time.  Learning how to meditate was a turning point for me.  Even today, I can't imagine my life not knowing how to quiet my mind and go to that space in time where everything can be still, even if it's just for a few seconds.  One step that I always advice before starting this journey, is to "adopt a Spiritual Protector"  Based on your spiritual background who you choose may be very different.  This is an easy exercise to discover who your Spiritual Guides may be.  Don't wory about making the wrong choice, you can't make a mistake.  Also who you choose may change depending on what you're going through until you discover who your Birth Guide is (a higher energy that has been with you from birth)  Follow your intuition and keep a journal to learn from your experiences.              How can I discover who my Spirit Guides are?   Another way to meet your Spirit Guides is through meditation.  Sit quietly.  You may have a candle if you like, maybe some incense too, it's not vital and it's up to you.  Just be patient and sit there, not "expecting" anything to happen.  Let your thoughts run, don't try to stop them or struggle with your mind.  Pretend that you're something in the room, a lamp, a chair, and focus on that.  Feel the detachment.  You're not going anywhere.  You're not waiting for anything to happen, you're just that item in that room, just there.  That's the whole point, to be able to be "just there."  Feel relaxed and in a neutral space (emotionally detached)  Ask in your mind for your Spirit Guides to show themselves to you.  Do this in a very flexible way, "accepting" that if they don't show up this time, it's OK because there will be other times.  Stay relaxed, emotions tend to block the process (especially frustration and anger)  After a few moments, if you were able to see them or not, give thanks for the moment and for them (Spirit Guides) to listen to you (even if you don't see them)  Eventually it will happen.  (The main challenge is to trust your intuition instead of thinking that you're making it up   Note- Once you put this question out, your Guides may show themselves to you in other ways during the day and outside of the meditation session.  Just pay attention, you'll know when a message or sign is for you.                     (Keep checking back- more questions and answers to come!  Feel free to send us your questions for this page!)    ___________________________________________________________________________
